Aluminum India

Aluminum India is located on Hill Street. Our door number is 4-3-41. We are right next to the City Light Hotel, which is a very famous spot for tea and snacks. Usually, you can see people standing outside the hotel while we are moving aluminum sections into the shop. Hill Street is a bit narrow, so loading the trucks is always a bit of a puzzle. We have stacks of aluminum channels, pipes, and sheets everywhere. The metal is bright when it first arrives and then it gets a bit dull with the dust from the road. We don't have a lot of space for a proper office, so the desk is just tucked into a corner near the front. It is a noisy place because when the metal hits the floor, it makes a loud ringing sound. We wear gloves most of the time because the edges can be sharp. Customers come in with their measurements on scraps of paper. We spend a lot of time cutting things to size if that is what they need. The fans are always on but they just move the warm air around. By the time evening rolls around, we are usually covered in a bit of metal dust. We lock the rolling shutter and head over to the hotel for a quick tea before going home. It is just how the days go by for us here. We don't change much.
