C Dac R D is tucked away in Secunderabad. We operate out of Plot No. 7/1 in Icrisat Colony Phase 2. This is over in Krishi Nagar, which is part of Old Bowenpally. The office is actually in care of E. Rajsekhar’s place. It’s a very residential feel, which is nice because it’s not as loud as the main roads. Secunderabad has its own rhythm, and Old Bowenpally is a big part of that. We aren't in a high-rise building with elevators and a security desk. It’s just a regular building in a nice colony. We do our research and development work in a pretty relaxed setting. There are trees outside and you can hear the birds in the morning. Inside, it’s mostly just us with our technical stuff, trying to figure things out. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big signs. People who need to find us usually know the way or they ask for Rajsekhar’s plot. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a good way to start the day. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep things relatively quiet. It’s an honest, small-scale operation. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to make some progress every day without making a big deal out of it. It’s a simple way to work, and we like that we are based in a place that feels more like a home than a corporate cubicle farm. It keeps the pressure off and lets us think clearly.
