This company is based in Ansing, which is part of the Washim district. We call ourselves Maske'S Wai Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our main spot is at Kisanrao Biruji Maskewai’s place. We are a group of farmers who decided to focus on organic methods. It is not always the easiest way to farm, but we like keeping things natural. In a small village like Ansing, everyone knows each other’s business anyway. We decided that working together as a producer company would be better than working alone. The office is really just a room at Kisanrao’s house where we keep our folders. We do not have a big staff or a receptionist. Usually, someone is out back or in the fields when you stop by. Washim gets very hot, so we do our heavy work early in the morning. We do not use any big marketing talk because that is not who we are. We are just neighbors trying to grow good food without all the chemicals. It takes a lot of patience to do things the organic way. Sometimes the bugs are a problem, and sometimes the soil needs more rest. We talk about these things over tea at the house. Our address is easy to find if you are from around here. It is just a simple operation run by people who know the dirt. We are not looking to be famous, just to keep farming.
