Siemen Laboratories (India)

Samrajya is a decent area to work in, and being near Sangliwadi High School means there’s always a lot of energy around when the kids are heading home. Siemen Laboratories is located at number 271, and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a good while. The lab is where most of the action happens. It’s a very functional space with white walls and a lot of glass equipment that we have to be careful with. It isn’t the kind of place you see in movies with bubbling blue liquids, but it’s where we do the real work of testing and analyzing things every day. The staff here are mostly local people who live nearby, so we often walk or bike to work. We have a small break area where we keep a kettle for tea, and that’s where the gossip happens. The work requires a lot of patience and looking through microscopes or waiting for results to come back from the machines. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which gives us a few minutes to just chat. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone writing fancy brochures. We just show up, put on our coats, and get to work on the samples that come in. It’s a quiet, steady life here in Sangliwadi, and we are quite content with how we do things at the lab.
