Over at the M.I.D.C. area in Sangli, we have these plots from A/16 to 19. It’s a large space because dealing with milk and dairy takes up a lot of room. Being a Sahakari Ddh Sangh means we are basically a cooperative, so it’s more about the people and the farmers than anything else. You can smell the milk as soon as you get close to the gate. It’s a busy spot starting from very early in the morning when the trucks arrive from the villages. We have old machinery that clanks a bit, but it still does the job of processing everything. The floors are always wet because we are constantly cleaning the tanks and pipes. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with the steam and the crates being moved around. We have a small office section where we keep track of who brought in what, and the paperwork is usually piled high on the desks. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what we are here for. Everyone knows everyone here, and we often sit together for lunch in the shade. It’s a lot of responsibility to handle the daily milk supply for the district. We just try to keep the equipment running and make sure the milk gets where it needs to go without any fuss or delay.
