Green Arm Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in a small place called Dafalapur, which is in the Jath Taluka of Sangli district. We work out of Sunita Balkrishna Pukale’s place. In a rural area like this, things move at a different pace than in the big cities. We are a group of farmers who decided to team up because it’s hard to do everything alone. Sangli is known for its farming, and we are just one part of that big picture. Our days start early, usually before the sun is fully up, because that’s when the work on the land happens. We don’t have a high-tech office with air conditioning. We sit together, often with a cup of hot tea, and discuss what needs to be done for the season. Dealing with the weather and the market prices is a constant struggle, but having this company helps us stay organized. It’s a very local operation. Everyone knows everyone else around here. We aren't trying to be some massive global brand. We just want to make sure our produce gets to where it needs to go and that the farmers get a fair deal for their hard work. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but we just carry on. It’s a simple life, focused on the soil and the crops we grow here in Dafalapur. We’re just regular folks working the land.
