Consulting

I've been here in Digraj for a while now, right at A P Kasabe. It’s a quiet part of the Sangli district, mostly people we know from around the Talmiraj area. My setup isn't anything fancy to look at, just a desk and some chairs where folks sit down to talk. We go by the name Consulting because that is basically what happens here every day. People come in with papers or questions about their work and we try to figure things out together. The dust from the road sometimes gets inside when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is in this part of the world. I don't have a big staff or a shiny glass door. It's just a small space where I spend most of my mornings and afternoons. Most of the time, I'm just looking through files or waiting for the tea man to pass by. It feels right being local like this. People know they can find me at this address without needing an appointment weeks in advance. If the gate is open, I am usually inside working on something. The Pin 416305 area is home, so I don't plan on moving this little office anywhere else. It serves the purpose for those who live nearby and need a bit of guidance on things they are dealing with. It is a simple life here in the village, and the work reflects that. Sometimes I sit on the porch and watch the day go by. It is a good way to live.
