Sri Samy Traders

If you know Armenian Street, you know how crowded and noisy it gets with all the trucks and people moving goods. Sri Samy Traders is located at number 7, right in the thick of all that action. We have been operating from this building for a long time. It is one of those older structures where the stairs are a bit steep and the hallways feel a little narrow when you’re carrying things. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on the latest deliveries that come in. There is always someone shouting instructions outside or a horn honking, but that’s just the character of this area. We don’t have fancy air conditioning in every single corner, just some old ceiling fans that hum while we work at our desks. We drink a lot of coffee from the small stall just down the road. It’s a very simple setup we have here. We keep our records in big ledgers and also on the computer when it decides to work properly. My father used to say this street hasn't changed much in thirty years, and he’s probably right about that. We deal with all sorts of people who come through the door. It’s a lot of manual work sometimes, moving stock and making sure the counts are right. We don't really do the corporate thing with long meetings. We just talk across the room and get things done. It’s a decent way to work.
