Sri Sakthi Hardwares

Sri Sakthi Hardwares has been at 18/178 on the West Main Road in Mettur Dam for quite a long time now. We are a small hardware shop that sells all the usual things like nails, hammers, screws, and tools. The place is a bit of a maze because we have so many items tucked away in different drawers and on high shelves that reach the ceiling. You usually have to ask us where something is because it is hard to find on your own if you are not here every day. It is a bit dusty and the smell of metal is everywhere in the shop. We spend most of our time counting out small items or cutting pieces of rope and wire for the people who live nearby. It is a very local business, and we know many of our customers by their first names. We don't have any big flashy signs or modern computers; we just write everything down on paper in our book. When it gets busy, the shop feels very small and we have to squeeze past each other in the aisles to get things. We keep the front door open to let in some air, which also means we hear all the noise from the traffic on West Main Road. It is hard work, and we are usually on our feet all day long. We just try to keep the shop stocked with the things people in Mettur Dam need for their daily repairs.
