Boss India Agencies is sitting right at 89, Tvk Road in the Ammapettai Bazaar. If you know the bazaar, you know it gets pretty crowded around here, especially in the mornings. We have been in this spot for a good while now. It’s a plain shop, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we keep things as organized as we can, but with all the boxes coming in, it gets a bit messy sometimes. We deal with various agencies and products, mostly things that local businesses need. My desk is right near the front, so I see everyone walking by on Tvk Road. The sign outside has seen better days, the sun has bleached it quite a bit. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that. People mostly just drop in or call the landline if they need to check on an order. We open the shutters around nine and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There are three of us working here. We mostly just drink our tea and handle the paperwork. It’s a steady job and we like the people in the neighborhood. You won't find any corporate speeches here. We just try to get the right items to the right people. Ammapettai is a busy place to be, but it feels like home to us. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but Boss India Agencies just keeps doing its thing.
