We are set up at 48 and 49 Riverside Street, right in the No 1 Agraharam area. Being near the river means the air feels a bit different than the middle of the city. Our building is an older style, typical for this part of town, and we’ve been using it for our trading business for quite a while. Most of what we do involves buying and selling various goods, so there’s always something coming in or going out of the doors. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the crates and bags stacked up, but we know where everything is. The street outside can get pretty cramped when the delivery carts come through. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who handle the books and the lifting. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow to catch a bit of a breeze. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat or ask about prices. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Agraharam over the years, but our little corner on Riverside remains pretty much the same. We don’t bother with fancy websites or big advertisements. Most people find us by word of mouth or just by walking down the street. It’s honest work, and we try to make sure we treat everyone who walks in fairly.
