Site Engineer

Working out of 1/777 in Vennampatty, right by the Collectorate area in Dharmapuri, we spend most of our days in the sun. As a Site Engineer, the job involves a lot more than just looking at drawings. We are usually the ones standing in the dirt making sure the foundations are dug deep enough. Our office isn't much to look at, just a desk and some chairs near the main road. It gets noisy with all the traffic going to the government offices nearby. We’ve been based in 636705 for a while now and we know the ground here pretty well. Sometimes the soil is tricky, so we have to be careful. We don’t do much advertising because most of our work comes from people just knowing who we are. It’s a straightforward way of living. We wake up, head to the site, and stay until the day's tasks are done. Sometimes that means staying late when a concrete pour is happening. We don't mind it much. It’s good to see a building go from a hole in the ground to something people can actually use. My brother helps with the measurements sometimes when we have a lot of houses going up at once. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss or unnecessary delay. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and the community growing steadily.
