Site Engineer

We are over at 1/777 Vennampatty, right near the Collectorate in Dharmapuri. The postcode is 636705. Being close to the government offices means we see a lot of people passing by every day. We go by Site Engineer and that pretty much sums up what we do. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who know how to read a site plan and make sure the builders are following it. The dust is a constant thing here, so we usually have a layer of it on our boots. We share the space and help each other out when things get busy. Sometimes the plans change at the last minute and we have to figure it out on the fly. It can be stressful, but we’ve handled it before. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up between tasks. We try to be practical about things. If a job is going to take longer because of the weather, we just tell it like it is. No point in making excuses. We’ve been at this for a long time now. People in Dharmapuri usually just stop by the office if they need something. It’s easier than trying to email back and forth all day long. We keep the kettle on for when folks drop in to talk about their projects.
