Service Engineer

Our place is at 264F in Millath Nagar. If you know the Jagir Ammapalayam area in Salem, you’ve probably passed by us once or twice. We go by Service Engineer. It’s a simple name because that is exactly what we do. We aren't trying to be something we're not. The workshop is situated in a part of Salem-5 that is usually active. We have been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, but we manage. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves with parts and a few workbenches. We don’t have a secretary or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you’ll likely find us with our hands full of grease or holding a wrench. We handle the daily repairs and engineering stuff that comes our way. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we even end up working on Sundays if a job is particularly stubborn. We don't spend money on fancy flyers. We just rely on the fact that we've been at this address for a while. It’s a local operation, and we like it that way. We've got an old fan that makes a bit of noise, but it helps when the Salem heat gets to be too much in the afternoons. Sometimes we leave the big door open to catch whatever breeze there is. The 264F building isn't new, but it's sturdy and gives us enough room.
