S L Roadways has its office at 94/71 in the Modern Theater Premises on Yercaud Main Road. Being right on the main road is very convenient for us because of all the transport work we do. The Modern Theater Premises is a well-known spot, so people usually have no trouble finding us. There is always a lot of noise from the trucks and buses going up towards Yercaud or coming back down into the city. It’s a lively place to be. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it has everything we need to keep things running. We have a lot of maps and schedules pinned to the walls. We spend our days coordinating with drivers and making sure the cargo is moving on time. It’s not the kind of job where you sit around in a suit. We are usually in casual clothes, dealing with whatever problems come up. The traffic can be a bit much sometimes, especially on weekends when tourists are heading to the hills, but we just work around it. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we know all the local tea stalls and mechanics. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It works for the type of work we do, where getting things on the road is the main priority.
