Mehar Plastics

Down on Habib Street in the Fort area, you’ll find Mehar Plastics. We are situated near the Keil Theru Masjid, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. The street is quite narrow, so when we get a truck in with raw materials or take out finished goods, it can be a bit of a squeeze. We work with plastic, making various items that people use in their everyday lives. It’s a bit noisy inside with the machines running, and it can get pretty hot during the summer months. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or office furniture. Most of our space is taken up by bags of plastic granules or stacks of finished products waiting to be moved. We focus on the work itself, making sure the quality is okay and that we meet the local demand. It’s a small team here, and everyone knows what they need to do. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down for a bit. There’s a lot of manual labor involved, lugging heavy bags and packing crates. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to keep the shop running and provide for our families. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops or houses, so we all know each other. It's just a regular local business doing what we know how to do best with the tools we have.
