M K S Earth Movers

Down in Palpakki Village, things move a bit slower, but here with M K S Earth Movers, we stay fairly busy. Our base is at No 2/200, right in the RC Chettipatti area near Omalur. We have a few pieces of equipment that we use for all sorts of digging and leveling jobs around the farms and houses nearby. It’s mostly just us guys from the village working here. We know the roads and the land around Omalur like the back of our hands. It's not glamorous work, and my hands are usually stained with oil from tinkering with the engines. We spend a lot of time out in the sun, which can be tough during the summer, but we’re used to it. The machinery is old but reliable, and we make sure to keep it greased up and ready for whatever the next call is. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. If the gate is open, someone is usually around. Most of our work comes from neighbors or people in the next village over who heard we have a backhoe available. It's a simple life, really. We wake up, check the fuel levels, and head out to wherever the dirt needs shifting. Sometimes we’re working on a new road, and other times it’s just clearing out a ditch that got clogged up after the rain. We just keep at it until the sun goes down and then head home to eat.
