This branch of R B L Bank Ltd is over at 22, Brindavan Road in New Fairlands. It’s a busy little spot in the neighborhood. We have the usual setup with tellers and some desks for the officers. People come in all day for their basic banking, like depositing cash or checking on their accounts. Brindavan Road is a familiar place for everyone living around here. We try to keep the queues moving, but sometimes the system goes slow or there's a lot of paperwork that needs signatures. It’s not exactly a quiet place during the day. We have the AC running to keep the heat out, but it’s still pretty hectic. The staff is mostly local people who know the regulars. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and filing papers. It’s just a standard bank branch, nothing out of the ordinary. We’ve been here in New Fairlands for a while now. Some days the lobby is full of people waiting, and other days it’s quite empty. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just open the doors in the morning and do the work until it’s time to close. Dealing with money and documents means we have to be careful, even when it’s busy. It’s just how the day goes for us at this location. We see a lot of different people coming through every single week and we know most by face.
