We operate out of Chenganoor, near the Boominaickanpatty post office. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the big cities, which suits us just fine for handling chemicals. We’ve got our storage and mixing areas set up here. Dealing with chemicals means you have to be careful and follow the steps, so that’s what we spend our time doing. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s necessary for a lot of the farms and small factories around here. We supply different kinds of solutions and powders depending on what the local guys are asking for. Sometimes the weather affects how we work, especially during the heavy rains, but we manage. We aren’t a huge corporation with branches everywhere. It’s just us here in the village area, making sure the containers are labeled and the orders are ready for pickup. People know where to find us if they need something for their crops or their processing plants. We keep the books in a small corner office and spend the rest of the day out where the drums are. It’s a simple life, really. We see the same faces every week. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just provide the chemicals that people in this part of the country need for their daily work. It is mostly about getting the mix right and making sure nobody gets hurt in the process. We just keep our heads down and work.
