Lakshmi Machine Works

Lakshmi Machine Works is located at 34A, Kamaraj Road. It’s a fairly straightforward place. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time, and the building has seen its fair share of work. Kamaraj Road is usually buzzing with activity, and we’re just one of the many businesses lined up along the street. Inside, it’s all about the machines. We deal with various mechanical parts and repairs, and there is always grease on someone's hands. It isn't a place for people who are afraid of a bit of dirt. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just know how to fix things and how to keep the machines running like they should. Most of our day is spent at the benches or operating the lathes. The traffic on the road can be a bit much during rush hour, but once you’re inside the shop, you don’t notice it as much. We have a regular set of people who drop in, mostly folks from the neighborhood who know we’ve been here forever. It’s a simple life, really. We open up early, get through the jobs on the list, and close up when the sun goes down. There’s a certain satisfaction in finishing a difficult repair and seeing a machine work again. We’re just local people doing a job we understand. It's a steady way to make a living and we stay busy.
