Sai J Traders

Sai J Traders is at No. 1 on Tanmag Road in Jayanagar. We are in the Gorimedu area. The shop is right at the corner, so it is easy for people to see. We have been here for a good number of years. It is a simple building with a front area for customers and a back room where we keep all the stock. The shelves are made of wood and they are quite old now, but they still hold up. We spend a lot of our time organizing the goods and talking to the people who come in. Gorimedu is a busy neighborhood, so there is always someone walking by. We know many of the locals by their first names. We don't have a big staff. It is usually just one or two of us here. We handle everything from sweeping the floor to doing the accounting. We still use a physical book to keep track of our sales. It feels more reliable than a computer sometimes. The street outside can get quite messy when it rains, and we have to be quick to move things away from the door. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has. We open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a steady job and it keeps us busy. We like the local feel of the place.
