M. B. Exim (P) Ltd.

Our place is tucked away in the Darpan Cinema Lane, right off Ambala Road. If you know the cinema, you know exactly where we are at M. B. Exim (P) Ltd. It’s a bit of a narrow lane, and when the big trucks come in to load up, they practically block the whole path. We get a lot of dust blowing in from the main road, so we’re always wiping down the desks. It’s a private limited company, but it doesn’t feel very corporate when you’re actually sitting here. We deal with exports, so there’s always a lot of talk about shipping containers and freight rates. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit on its highest setting. We’ve got a small team, and we all end up doing a bit of everything, from packing boxes to checking the accounts. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, making it a bit stuffy, but we just keep the door open to get a breeze. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people just find us because they’ve been told about us by someone else. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the invoices are correct, which is plenty of work for one day. It's a simple life here near the cinema lane, just keeping the business moving along as best as we can.
