Our kiln is located at Khasra No. 356 on Nakur Sarsava Road. If you’re driving past Gupta Resorts, you can’t miss the stacks of bricks and the smoke from our chimneys. Jai Bharat Brick Kilin is a place where we work with our hands and the soil every single day. It’s a rough environment, especially when the wind blows the ash around, but we’re used to it. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Most of our meetings happen standing up in the middle of the yard. We focus on the fire and the cooling process because that’s what makes a good brick in the end. If the temperature isn't right, the whole batch can be ruined, and that’s just money down the drain for us. We’ve had our share of bad luck with the weather, but you just pick up and keep going. People from around the Nakur area know they can just pull in and see what we’ve got ready for sale. We don't do much advertising; the piles of bricks by the road usually do the talking for us. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sweating, but there’s something satisfying about seeing a fresh stack of red bricks ready to be hauled away to a building site. We just keep our heads down and worry about the next load coming out of the fire. It's a tough but steady life on the road.
