Indian Wooden Craft is based out of Plot No.479 on Jamal Street in Gangoh. It’s a small town vibe here, and everyone pretty much knows where everything is. Jamal Street isn't too long, so we’re easy enough to spot once you get onto it. The workshop is where we spend almost all our waking hours. It’s full of the smell of cut wood and the sound of saws. We don't have any big mission statements or fancy offices. We just have a bunch of wood and the tools needed to shape it into something useful. Sometimes the wood is stubborn or the weather makes it hard to work, but that’s just part of the trade. We’ve lived in Gangoh for a long time, so being part of the local community matters to us. We aren't trying to sell anyone on a dream, we just provide the crafts that we know how to make. The floor is usually covered in shavings by lunchtime, and we sweep it all up at the end of the day just to do it all over again tomorrow. It’s a repetitive kind of work, but there’s something satisfying about seeing a pile of lumber turn into a finished product. We keep things straightforward and honest. If you walk in, you’ll see us exactly as we are, usually with some dust on our clothes and a project on the bench.
