Satkar Garden Restaurant

We are situated out on the Ambaji Khedbrahma Highway in a place called Agiya, near Himatnagar. Having a garden restaurant means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city. There are trees and some open air, though it still gets very hot during the Gujarat summers. We spend a lot of time watering the plants and trying to keep the dust off the tables. Being on the highway, we get a lot of people traveling to the temples or heading towards the border. It is a simple setup with outdoor seating. Sometimes the mosquitoes are a bit much in the evening, so we light some coils. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big menu with things we can't cook. We just serve what we know. The kitchen is busy from morning until late at night. We have been here in Agiya for a while now. Most of our workers live nearby. It is a quiet life when the traffic dies down, but that doesn't happen often. The sign out front has faded a bit in the sun, but people still find us. We don't worry about being the most modern place on the highway. We just want to make sure the food is ready when people pull over. It is a lot of cleaning and a lot of cooking, but that is what we do here in Himatnagar. Every day brings a different crowd of travelers.
