Mehar Model High School (Reg)

Mehar Model High School (Reg) is located right in the heart of Village Kambala in Mohali. We are part of the SAS Nagar area, and the school has been a fixture here for a long time. It’s a basic building made of concrete and brick, with classrooms arranged around a small central courtyard. The gates stay open in the morning as the village kids walk in, and it’s always a bit of a rush with everyone trying to get inside. The desks in the rooms are made of wood and have been scratched and marked by many students over the years. We have an old iron bell that we ring to signal the start and end of classes. In the summer months, it gets very hot, and the ceiling fans spin all day long to keep the air moving. We have a small office where we keep the registers and the school records in old metal cupboards. There isn’t a big field for sports, so the children usually play in the dirt patches near the walls during their break time. The teachers are mostly local residents who have been working here for years, and they know almost every family in the village. It’s a very simple and honest kind of place where the focus is just on the daily lessons. You won’t find anything fancy or high-tech here, just a regular school doing its part for the local kids. It’s a humble place that everyone in Kambala knows well.
