Lovely Caterers

We operate out of Shop No. 12 in Kajheri, Sector- 41. It’s basically just a big kitchen where we spend all our hours. Lovely Caterers started out as a small thing we did for friends, and then it just grew into a full-time job. It’s always hot in there because of the stoves, and someone is always chopping something or washing up. We don't have a fancy dining room because we mostly just pack everything up and take it to the events. The floor is usually a bit damp from cleaning, and there's always a big pot of something simmering on the back burner. We go through a lot of vegetables and spices every single day. It’s not a glamorous job, your clothes always smell like onions or fried spices by the end of the shift. But we like the rhythm of it. We know all the delivery guys who bring us the bags of rice and flour. Sector- 41 is a good spot for us, easy to get to different parts of the city from here. We don’t have a big sales team, we just answer the phone and write down the orders in a big notebook. Sometimes it gets really hectic during wedding season and we hardly sleep, but we make it work. It’s just us, cooking food and trying to get it delivered on time. It gets loud and messy, but that is how a kitchen is.
