A Plus Caterers

A Plus Caterers operates out of B No-280 in Phase 5, Sector 59, Mohali. It is more of a busy workspace than a regular shop. Most of our day is spent in the kitchen area. It gets very hot in there, especially during the summer months when we have several different orders going at the same time. We have got big stainless steel tables and oversized burners for the heavy pots. There is always the smell of something cooking, whether it is a big vat of lentils or some vegetable curry. We start our shifts long before the sun comes up to get all the prep work finished. Peeling piles of onions and chopping vegetables takes a lot of time, but it has to be done. We load everything into the vans and head out to different parts of the city for delivery. It involves a lot of heavy lifting. The floor is usually a bit wet from all the washing up we do. We do not really have a front office, just a small space where we take calls and note down event dates. Most people find us through word of mouth in the neighborhood. It is just a group of us who have worked together for a long time. We wear our aprons all day and usually go home smelling like wood smoke and spices.
