Taj Marble & Granite

You can find us over on Garhi Bolni Road. It is a place where there is always a bit of dust in the air because of the stone cutting. We work with marble and granite, which are heavy and take a lot of muscle to move around. Our yard is filled with slabs of all different colors and patterns. Some are smooth and others are still rough from the quarry. We spend a lot of time outside, regardless of if it is raining or the sun is beating down. You learn to appreciate a good pair of boots in this line of work. People come by when they are building a new house or maybe just fixing up a small counter. We don’t do a lot of talking; we mostly just show them the different pieces we have in stock. The sound of the saws is pretty constant throughout the day. It’s a tough job but there is something nice about seeing a big piece of stone get cut just right. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and most of the locals know where to turn off the main road to find us. It isn't a showroom with bright lights and fancy music. It’s a working yard. We keep things simple and focus on the stone. Sometimes the crane acts up, which slows us down, but that's life.
