Balwan Stones & Slate Company is situated in V. P. O Majra Bhalkhi. We deal with stones and slate right from this district. It is a very hands-on kind of job. The yard is always covered in stone dust and pieces of slate that have been split. It isn't a clean place, but it is where the work happens. We have been in Majra Bhalkhi for a long time now. The neighbors know the sound of the stone being moved. We don't use much technology here, mostly just simple tools and strong arms. The slate comes in different sizes and we keep it stacked by the fence. It's a local business through and through. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything fancy like that. If someone needs stone, they drive down to the village and talk to us. We show them what we have in the piles. The weather can be tough out here, but the stone doesn't mind.
