Our office for Steel Authority Of India Ltd. is located at A-104 in the Satellite Township of Ranchi. Ranchi is a different kind of place, a bit more relaxed than the big metros, and the township is quite planned out. It’s a quiet area compared to the main market, which is nice for getting work done. We’ve got a straightforward setup here. No big signs or flashing lights. We mostly handle the local administration and technical side of things since the plants aren't too far away. The air feels a bit better here than in some other cities. We spend our mornings going through the mail and setting up the schedule. The staff here knows each other well, so it’s a friendly enough place to spend eight hours a day. We don't use a lot of complicated systems, just the usual stuff that keeps a steel company running. Sometimes it gets a bit slow when the weather is heavy, but we stay on track. We aren't looking to impress anyone with the office layout. It’s just desks, chairs, and some old files. Most of our day is spent on the phone or typing away at the keyboards. We make sure the paperwork is in order for the bigger operations. It’s a practical part of the job that needs to happen every day. We just stay focused and do what’s required of us without making any fuss about it.
