Mideast Integrated Steel Ltd.

We’re located over in Ranchi, Jharkhand, specifically in the Old A.G. Colony in Kadru. We use Sri J.K. Sahay’s place as our base for Mideast Integrated Steel Ltd. It’s a bit different from our Orissa spots. Ranchi has its own rhythm and feel. The office is tucked away in a residential area, so it’s much quieter than a factory floor. We do a lot of the coordination and paperwork from here. P.O. Doranda is just nearby. We have stacks of files regarding steel shipments and logistics. It’s not a shiny corporate tower with an elevator. It’s a house turned into a workspace. You’ll see tea cups on the tables and probably some crumbs from our afternoon snacks. We work long hours when the projects are moving fast. The weather in Ranchi is a bit nicer than the coast, so that’s a plus for us. We don't have a PR person or a secretary. If you call, you just talk to whoever happens to be closest to the phone. We don't have a fancy website with stock photos of people in hard hats. We just have our desks and our paper records. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat or ask about the mail. It’s a very local way of doing business. We handle the Jharkhand side of the steel operations.
