Maa Steel

Maa Steel is located in Khunti, right on Torpa Road. We are quite close to the Seventh Day Adventist Higher Secondary School. You can often hear the school bell ringing or the kids playing during their breaks while we are working with the steel. It’s a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Dealing with steel is heavy work, and our yard in Khunti is usually full of rods, sheets, and various metal pieces. We spend the day moving these things around and making sure everything is where it should be. The Torpa Road area is a mix of different shops and houses. It feels like a real community. At Maa Steel, we don't really go for anything flashy. The building is just a functional place to store our materials and talk to people who come by. It can get quite hot in the sun when you are handling metal all day, so we try to stay hydrated. We’ve been here in Khunti for a bit, and we know most of the regulars who pass by the school. It’s a simple operation. We open up in the morning, do our work, and lock up when we are finished. There isn't much more to it than that. Having the school nearby makes the area feel more alive. We just focus on our steel and the daily tasks that come with running a place like this on Torpa Road.
