Baralwal Tea has been part of the Doranda area for a long time now. We are situated right near the North Market, which is a busy place to be. You can always hear the chatter of the market and the sound of people bargaining for vegetables nearby. Our shop is simple. We have shelves filled with different varieties, and the air always has that faint, earthy smell of tea leaves. It’s a smell that gets into your clothes after a while. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or lighting. We don't bother with fancy displays because most folks just want their tea without any fuss. Usually, we are busy weighing things out or packing bags for the regulars who stop by every week. We know most of our customers by name, and we know exactly what they like. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools out front and watch the traffic go by when there’s a lull in the work. The building is old, and the stairs creak a bit, but it has character. We haven't changed much over the years because we don't see a reason to fix what isn't broken. It’s just a straightforward business. We show up, we handle the tea, and we go home. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s ours. If you’re ever walking through the North Market, you’ll likely find us there, just doing what we’ve always done.
