Sathuragiri Collective Farming Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here at Thirumanickamt.Ramanathapuram, mostly just a group of local farmers who decided to pool everything together. Sathuragiri Collective Farming is what we call it, but really it is just us working the land in our village. There are quite a few of us involved now. We spend most of our mornings out in the fields and then meet up at 2/44 to talk about what needs doing next. It gets pretty hot here, so we try to get the heavy work done early. Sometimes things go well and sometimes the weather makes it hard, but that is just how farming goes. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the 1/150 address where we keep our tools and paperwork. It's a lot of work coordinating everyone, but it makes more sense than trying to do it all alone. We've lived in this area for a long time, so we know the soil pretty well. We grow what the season allows. It is mostly about making sure everyone gets a fair share and the crops get to where they need to go. If you come by Ramanathapuram, you'll see us around. We aren't trying to be some big corporate thing, just a bunch of neighbors trying to make the farm work for all of us. It is simple, everyday work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
