Shri Gurudev Rice Industries Private Limited is situated on Ramadhin Marg in Rajnandgaon. We operate out of the space belonging to Raj Kumari and Ramesh Jain. If you know the area, you know it’s a place that stays active from early morning until late at night. Rice is the lifeblood of this region, and we are right in the middle of it all. The smell of grain is pretty much everywhere around our facility. We spend our days managing the intake of paddy and making sure the processing stays on track. It’s dusty work and the machines can be quite loud, so we usually have to shout to be heard over the hum. Rajnandgaon is a good place for this kind of industry because the supply is always moving. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk or making the place look like a showroom. The walls have a few scuffs and the floor is usually covered in a bit of husk, but that’s just how a real rice mill looks. Most of our guys have been here for years and they know the rhythm of the seasons. When the harvest comes in, it’s all hands on deck and sleep becomes a bit of a luxury for everyone involved. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we’re just processing rice and trying to keep the business running smooth for the families who depend on us. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy all year long.
