Mahameru Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over in Dongargaon, running things out of Eshwardas Dhondiba Ghanghav’s location. Mahameru Farmers Producer is basically just a local effort. We don't have any big investors or a head office in the city. It’s just us and the land here. We spend our days coordinating with the different growers in the area. Sometimes the storage gets a bit cramped and we have to shuffle things around to make room. It’s a lot of physical labor. You’ll usually find Eshwardas out in the back checking the scales. We don't use much fancy technology. A lot of our records are kept in big physical binders. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us in Dongargaon. The people who come by are our friends and neighbors. We talk about the rain and the prices while we load the bags. There’s no dress code here. We just wear what’s comfortable for working in the dirt. Sometimes we lose a pen or a notebook gets misplaced, but we always find it eventually. It’s a very direct way of doing business. No middlemen, just us and the producers. We’ve been here for a while now and we don't plan on changing how we do things. It’s a practical life, and we like the honesty of it. The seasons dictate our schedule more than any clock does and we just keep moving forward.
