V.L Plast

You can find V.L Plast in Gondal, right on Station Road. We are very close to the Bharat Oil Mill, so there’s often a bit of an industrial smell in the air, and you can hear the machines running next door. Being on Station Road means there’s a lot of movement. You can hear the trains passing by throughout the day, which shakes the windows a little bit. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have a concrete floor and some metal shelving that we put up ourselves. It’s not the prettiest place, but it works for storing all the plastic stock we carry. We don't spend much money on things like decorations or fancy lighting. Most of the time, we’re just wearing old clothes because moving things around means getting dirty. My hands are usually a bit stained by the end of the day. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting. We don’t have a computer system either; we just write everything down in a big ledger. It’s the way we’ve always done it. If someone comes in looking for something, we can usually find it within a few minutes, even if the shelves look a bit chaotic. It’s a simple business for simple people. We just want to get through the day's tasks and get home. The tea from the vendor across the street is the best part of the afternoon.
