Lions Overseas

We operate out of Mauri Plot here in Rajkot. It’s a local spot in the district that we’ve called home for some time. We deal with things that go overseas, hence the name, but our day-to-day is very much grounded right here in the plot. The yard often has crates and materials waiting to be moved or sorted. It’s a dusty kind of work sometimes, especially when the wind picks up across the open spaces in the area. We have a small office area where we handle all the paperwork and phone calls, but most of the action happens out where the goods are. There are only a handful of us working here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. One minute I’m checking a ledger and the next I’m helping move a heavy box. We don’t go for anything flashy. The building is just a plain structure that keeps the rain off our heads. We know the other people working in the nearby plots and often share a cup of tea in the afternoon. It’s a steady rhythm we have developed over the years. We just focus on getting the shipments ready and making sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of coordination and simple hard work. We like being part of the Rajkot business community. It’s just us doing our part in the bigger picture of trade. We don't have a big corporate feel, just a group of people working.
