Raj Blow Plast

Our unit is located in Shapar Veraval, which is basically the heart of the industrial area around here. It’s a dusty place with a lot of factory sheds and heavy machinery everywhere. We specialize in blow molding, so the shop floor is always dominated by the big machines and the heat they put out. It gets pretty intense during the summer months, but we keep the large shutters open to let the air circulate. There’s a constant smell of melting plastic, which you just stop noticing after the first few days. We make a lot of different plastic containers and bottles. The floor is usually scattered with little bits of plastic trimmings that we have to sweep up constantly. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. Our "office" is just a small partitioned area with a desk and a couple of old cupboards for files. Most of our workers live in the nearby colonies and have been with us for a long time. The roads in Shapar are pretty rough, so our delivery trucks take a bit of a beating getting in and out. We don't really have any slogans or big goals; we just try to keep the machines running without too many breakdowns. It’s hard work and it’s often very loud, but it’s what we know how to do. We usually wrap up the day as the sun goes down, leaving the machines to cool off until morning.
