Shemla Primary School is a small place in the village of Shemla, near Rajkot. It’s the kind of school where you know the name of every kid and their parents too. The building is quite small, just a few rooms where the younger children sit. We don't have much in the way of fancy facilities. There’s a small yard where the children play during their lunch break, and you can usually hear them from down the road. The rooms have simple posters on the walls and old wooden desks. Since it's a primary school, things can get a bit messy with crayons and paper, but we try to keep it tidy. The village of Shemla is quiet, so the school is one of the main places where things happen. Sometimes the locals stop by just to say hello or ask about something. We don't have a big fence or a guard; it’s just an open sort of place. The weather in Rajkot can be dry and dusty, so we spend a fair bit of time sweeping the floors. Most of our day is spent helping the little ones learn to read and write. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy. When the final bell rings, the kids run out to meet their parents or walk home in small groups. It’s a very normal, local life we have here. There isn't much more to tell about it.
