Mission Primary School

We are out in the Kuvadava area of Rajkot. Mission Primary School is a small place, mostly serving the families who live nearby. It’s not in the middle of the city, so things are a bit different here compared to the downtown schools. We deal with the younger kids, the primary age ones, which means there’s always a lot of energy and sometimes a bit of crying in the morning when the little ones are dropped off. The school isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s a practical building that gets the job done. We have a few classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around. Being in Kuvadava, we know most of the parents and see them around the neighborhood. We don't have a lot of big resources, so we just make do with what we have. Our days are spent teaching the basics and making sure the kids stay safe while they’re with us. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon. There’s always a roof that needs checking or some painting to be done during the breaks. We just try to provide a steady place for the local children to get their start. It’s just us, the teachers, and the kids in this quiet part of Rajkot. We like the way things are here in our little corner of the world.
