Savan Engineering

Savan Engineering is out in Jambudi Village, which is part of the Jetpur Taluka area. We sit right along National Highway No 27 in the Rajkot district. It is a very busy road with lots of big trucks and cars passing by all the time. We do engineering work here, mostly mechanical things and fixing parts that people bring in from the nearby farms or the highway. Being out here means we deal with a lot of dust and heat, but that is just how it is in this part of Gujarat. The workshop is not anything special to look at, just a lot of metal, machines, and grease. We spend our days cutting, welding, and putting things together. Sometimes we get big jobs from the local factories, and other times it is just a small repair for a neighbor who needs something fixed quickly. We have been at this location for a good while. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning, and we stay late if a job needs finishing. It is a practical kind of life. We do not have a fancy office or a secretary to answer phones; usually, someone just walks into the shed and asks for help. We try to be fair with our work and just get things running again. If you are driving down the highway near Jambudi, you cannot really miss us. It is hard work, but we like it.
