Arvind Industries

I'm writing this from Arvind Industries. We are located near the P. T. C. Hostel on Bhavnagar Road in Rajkot. If you know the area, it’s 360003. We’ve been here for a good while now. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the street, but it works for what we need to do. Most days, it’s just the sound of the machines and the traffic outside. The hostel being so close means there are always people walking by. Sometimes students come in looking for the hostel and we have to point them toward the gate. We have a few guys working here on the floor. It gets pretty hot in Rajkot during the summer months, so we keep the big fans running all day long. We don’t really have a big office or a lobby. It’s mostly just the workspace and a small area for files and a kettle for tea. We just get on with the daily tasks as they come. There isn't a whole lot of drama here. We start in the morning, do the work, and lock up in the evening. It’s a steady kind of life. We’ve gotten to know the neighbors over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on the road, just a place that stays open and does the work. That’s about it for us at this address.
