Saifee Tools Center

We’re located on Garedia Kuva Road, right near the Rajbhavan Guest House. Saifee Tools Center has been in this spot for years. It’s easy to find us if you know the landmark. The shop is full of all sorts of things, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of shelf space. We keep adding stuff because customers keep asking for it. There’s a specific smell to a tool shop, like oil and metal, and I’ve grown to like it over time. Mornings are usually the quietest time, so that’s when I try to organize the bins. By midday, it’s a bit of a scramble with people coming in for bits and pieces. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or anything. If someone needs a tool, they just come over and we look for it together. My brother helps out when things get too busy. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who have been coming here since they were young. The traffic on Garedia Kuva Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap up before it gets too crazy. It’s a basic shop, nothing special to look at from the street, but we have what people need. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just one that stays open when people need us. It's hard work but it pays the bills and we like the people around here.
