Resham Masala

We've been here on Street No- 20 in Bhojpara for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right opposite the Royal Party plot. If you're coming from Panjara Chowk, it’s just a short walk. Our shop isn't fancy, just a regular place where we spend our days dealing with different masalas. Gondal gets pretty dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and making sure the spice bags are shut tight. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. You can smell the chili and turmeric from the end of the street sometimes. It gets into your clothes and your hair, but we got used to it years ago. Sometimes the traffic outside near the party plot gets a bit loud, especially during wedding season, but we just keep working. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us grinding and packing stuff to get it ready for whoever needs it. Some days are busier than others, especially when the new stock arrives and we have to move heavy sacks around. We try to keep things organized but it’s a small space so it gets cluttered fast. That’s just how it is. If you ever find yourself near Bhojpara, you’ll probably see us sitting out front or moving boxes. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do.
