Our shop is out in G.I.D.C Aji Phase 2, right near Matel Chowk. It’s an industrial area, so it gets quite dusty on K Road with all the heavy trucks passing by. We have a lot of watches and different gift items stacked up on the wooden shelves. It’s definitely not a fancy showroom like you’d see in a big city mall. We mostly keep busy organizing the stock and helping people who walk in looking for something specific for a birthday or a wedding. Sometimes the clock ticking gets a bit loud when it’s quiet in the afternoon heat. We've got stuff piled up in the back because space is always a bit tight for us. The light in the front window isn't great, but it works well enough for what we do. We’ve been at 144 for quite some time now. Some of the watches have been sitting in the glass cases for a while, and we have to wipe them down every morning to keep the dust off. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We drink a lot of tea while we work throughout the day. If the front door is stuck, you just have to give it a bit of a hard push. We aren't trying to do anything big, just selling watches and small gifts to whoever needs them. The neighborhood is mostly factories, so we see the same faces every day. It's a steady life and we’re happy enough with it.
