Our spot at Plot No. 269 in the Kuvadva GIDC area is right where all the action is. Being so close to the Ahmedabad National Highway means there is a constant sound of heavy trucks rolling by day and night. It’s an industrial life here. We get to the unit early, usually before the sun is fully up, to beat the worst of the heat. The air in the industrial area is always thick with the smell of other factories, but inside our doors, it’s all about the food products we’re making. We aren't a massive corporation with fancy logos or glass windows. We are just a group of people working in a shed-like building, making sure the production line keeps moving. Sometimes the highway traffic makes it hard for our workers to get here on time, but we manage. The floors are concrete and the walls are filled with stacks of packing material and cardboard boxes. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or office furniture. Every bit of space is used for something practical. If you walk inside, you'll see a lot of activity and probably some flour dust on the floor. It’s a bit noisy and cramped, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve lived and worked around the Kuvadva area for years, so we’re used to the pace and the noise of the highway.
