Jalaram Lot & Masala Center

Jalaram Lot & Masala Center has been sitting right here opposite the Satsang Mandal for quite some time. It’s a small place, but it does the job. Most of our neighbors come here for their flour and spices. We don't really do much in the way of big marketing. Word of mouth usually brings people in. The machinery can be quite loud when we are grinding the lot, but that's just part of the daily noise here. We try to keep everything running smooth. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the time of day. We handle the masalas and the flour ourselves. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually end up covered in white powder by the afternoon. We don’t mind. It’s honest work. The location is easy to find since the Mandal is such a landmark. Sometimes it gets crowded when there’s a gathering across the street, but we just keep working through it. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just want to make sure the flour is ground right and the spices are ready when people need them. It’s just how we operate. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve been doing this for years and it feels like a part of the neighborhood now. Just a regular shop for regular people who need their monthly supplies.
