Husen Traders

We are right in the middle of Gujari Bazaar on Dharmendra Road. It is a very busy part of town, especially when the girls from Kotecha High School are heading home in the afternoon. The shop isn't very big, but we pack a lot into the shelves. Most days it is just me and one other guy here handling the customers. People come in looking for all sorts of things, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. It gets loud outside with the scooters and the shouting from other vendors, but that is just how the bazaar is. We have been here for years, so we know most of the people walking by. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because we keep getting new stock delivered and there is nowhere to put it. We just stack it higher and hope for the best. Husen Traders isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or bright lights. We have a few old fans that keep the air moving a little bit. On rainy days, the water drips near the front step, so we have to watch out for that. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down and the market starts to quiet down. It is a lot of work keeping track of everything, but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast. You just learn to live with the noise and the constant flow of people through the door.
